The District Gateway is an idea that I conceived which encompasses taking advantage of the current Dakota Crossing Development and extending it across South Dakota Avenue creating a Gateway Neighborhood. I submitted the idea to DC’s Office of Planning and to the Ward 5 City Council as an unsolicited proposal which at a minimum could be converted into a Small Area Plan for future Development. This idea is in its infancy and I will post more updates on the plan as I meet with different agencies.

The Anacostia Riverwalk trail is being rebid and there is no reason why Fort Lincoln shouldn’t be included in the redesign. Please email ravindra.ganvir@dc.gov (RavindraGanvir (DDOT)) and let him know that Fort Lincoln needs to be incorporated into the new design!

Making Bike Lanes/Trails a Reality in Fort Lincoln
DC Bicycle Master Plan – There has been a lot of interest surrounding bike lane connections from Fort Lincoln to Downtown DC and the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail. I have made connections to DDOT and your ideas are needed to help get the plan and funding moving. More details are forthcoming in the following week regarding the next steps to making this happen.
