Renderings – Proposed Fort Lincoln Mutli-Family Development

The Developer has summited its BZA Application for the new Residential Development adjacent to the Villages at Dakota Crossing. Below are some of the renderings submitted. The townhome component of the proposal seems to be well thought out, however, the apartment component lacks the architectural consistency and quality of the surrounding residences. My assumption is that this is a very rough draft for the apartment component of the development.  All things considered, I think it’s great that the development is moving forward; with a few adjustments, I think it will be an awesome addition to the neighborhood.

  1. I hope it is a “rough draft” for the apartment component. It looks like a throwback from the 70’s. I’m concerned about the future traffic, which will funnel all the vehicles into one area. There will not be many outlets. I can see the Village of DC being used as an easy cut-through for homeowners in that area trying to get home or heading out of the area.

Thanks for posting the drawings. I always thought that area was part of the “wish list.” Never thought anything would be happening this soon.

    1. There’s a meeting being planned for next week which will give everyone a chance to voice their concerns. There should be a flyer circulating soon, I’ll post it as soon as I receive the information.
