The term “Housing Clusters”, often used to identify the different residential subivisions within Fort Lincoln, tend to sound like the old government housing projects from the past. Growing up in DC Government Housing Projects in the early 90’s, people would always refer to neighborhoods as “Housing”. When referring to all of the residences of Fort Lincoln, I don’t think its right to categorize the entire neighborhood as housing clusters; the main reason being that we actually live in residences hence the name residents. I think we can all agree that as a community, we have transcended the term “housing cluster”. If anyone decides to get involved on the FCLA Board of Directors, removing the term “housing clusters” and replacing it with ” The Residential Sub-Communities Of Fort Lincoln” sounds like an awesome first order of business!
